To relieve anxiety, anger, overwhelm and irritability. To bring relief to those with a uterus. And to nourish an exhausted nervous system—
Blue Vervain is for those overwhelmed with nervous exhaustion due to long-term stress. Most helpful in states of hot, excess tension, where the goal is to cool and relax digestion, ease irritability, anger, anxiety, headache, muscular tension, inflammation, and insomnia.
Blue Vervain offers emotional and physical support to the nervous system and encourages balance for those experiencing premenstrual and perimenopausal pain and stress.
Blue Vervain is an intensely bitter herb with a tremendous effect on the digestive and nervous systems. Working on tension in the stomach and intestines linked to suppression of emotions, especially anger. And so, in this way, also supports a healthy digestive process.
. . .
I take 1 drop right before sleep on nights when I’m in a panic and overwhelmed with worry as an invitation to my body to lean into the rest and spaciousness it needs to repair during the dark hours.
Blue Vervain can also be ingested as a nervine, an herbal tonic taken faithfully over a period of three or more months to nourish the nervous system.
. . .
Being in the presence of Blue Vervain fills me with awe. It’s an awe that makes room for grounded stillness. The world sharpened. My focus, cool and clear. I can hardly believe its beauty. Placing one drop of the tincture on my tongue, I feel all the energy in my body rush to my center. As if there is a cave at the core of me. I feel collected and spacious.
I hand harvest the deep green bodies and brilliant purple flowers of Blue Vervain in mid-summer and tincture them fresh in organic cane alcohol. This herb has kept me in my body this year and I’m so happy to now be able to offer it to support others.

1-10 drops under the tongue or in a small amount of water, 1-4 x daily.
How to Take with Intention?
